The Robin Robertson Blues Band
We are excited to bring, for the first time, the Robin Robertson Blues Band to our club.
With a a set of original songs and covers that are heavily influenced by the blues, the Robin Robinson Blues Band consist of highly accomplished musicians who have developed their sound into a blend of Blues, Jazz, original R&B and early soul.
With their great musicianship, technical ability and energy, audiences are guaranteed a powerful and very enjoyable live set experience from the band members, who have individually performed at Glastonbury, the o2 arena and the Albert Hall.

Our Venue
In the intimate atmosphere of the Prestonfield Golf Club function room where all guests get a comfortable seat, you get stunning views of 'Arthurs Seat' and the surrounding landscape. With our very welcoming bar staff, visitors to the club will find drinks prices at a reasonable level. Doors open at 18.30 on club nights with the support band commencing around 19.30. The main artiste usually commences around 20.45 and last orders at the bar are at 22.00

Our Support Band
The Burnside Burners are an interactive collective of students from the now defunct Edinburgh Blues Academy who now get together to play 'old school' and classic blues songs from the 50's and 60's

At the First Thursday Blues Club, we are passionate about preserving and celebrating the blues. Our club brings together talented musicians, enthusiastic fans and the vibrant energy of the Blues community. We proudly support local blues artists, providing them with a platform where they showcase their talent whilst demonstrating their styles as they move in and out of the different Blues genres.
